Ali MacGraw

Ali MacGraw, also known as Elizabeth Alice MacGraw, is an American author and designer who has received numerous awards for her writing and design. She advocates the rights of animals. Her work has received acclaim for films like Love Story (from 1970), Goodbye Columbus, (1969) and The Getaway, (1972). New York was her home and she was raised in a creative environment. She began as a photo assistant, before progressing to acting and modeling. The first two films she appeared in she received recognition and was awarded her the Golden Globe Award as Most promising young actress. Her film MacGraw's Love Story from 1970 was a huge hit that brought fame to the world in addition to being an Academy Award nominee and Golden Globe Award. In just three films MacGraw was named one of the most successful women in box office history. In Grauman's Chinese Theater In 1972, she had her name and footprints hand-engraved. In addition to The Getaway Convoy Players she also starred in the television miniseries The Winds of War. In 1991, her autobiography Moving Pictures came out. MacGraw was divorced three times.
