Tina and Amanda
Tina Louise, an American actress and writer most famous for her role as Ginger Grant on the television show Gilligan's Island during the 1960s. Her acting career began as a stage artist during the 1950s beginning in Two's Company a musical by Bettle Davis. After that, she acted on Broadway in a variety of shows until the year 1957, when Li'l Abner became huge at the National Theater. In 1957, she also made her debut album called It's time for Tina. Louise began with her Hollywood career in 1958, in which she portrayed Griselda Walden in God's Small Acre, a film that was dramatic. The film was a massive success, and Louise received an award called the Golden Globe Award for the New Star of the Years category. She was enrolled at Actors Studio, New York during this period and became Lee Strasberg's teacher. She signed on with CBS in 1964 to portray Ginger Grant. Louise was able to balance her acting career effectively in between Broadway TV and Hollywood acting in somber roles opposed to her image as a glamour doll. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. SG-1 and for her role as Helen Magnus in Sanctuary although over the past few years, she also has made an impact as a director who has been successful in numerous well-known TV shows like Supernatural or The 100. Her family relocated from Essex to Toronto in the year she was born, and there she resided for growing up and in adolescence. In 1997 after being selected to play Samantha Carter she settled down in Vancouver and has been living there since then.
